Enjoy Priestfield Arboretum with us … on Priestfield’s Autumn Weekend, Saturday, 18 October & Sunday, 19 October 2025, 10.30am – 4pm
Autumn is magical and the Friends of Priestfield Arboretum invite you to share it on our Priestfield’s Autumn Weekend, 18th and 19th October. It will be a special time for many of our 200 specimen trees from all over the world and a lovely time to explore the beauty of this wonderful privately-owned site.
Our knowledgeable volunteers will be leading two free guided tours each day (initially planned for 11am and 2pm). These tours show off the most significant trees and share interesting botanical and historical facts. In about an hour, you go around the world in fantastic trees.
If you want to sign up in advance for a guided tour, we will provide a link to an Eventbrite page from mid-September. Alternatively, you can just turn up, but a reservation makes sure you get a place.
If you don’t want to join a guided tour, you can download a self-guided tour leaflet here. This contains a full map of the arboretum and key facts on the significant trees. The leaflet will also be available at the reception gazebo on the day.
Entrance to the arboretum is free for Friends and otherwise it is £2.00 for adults with an extra £2.00 for a detailed guidebook to all the specimens. There is no charge for children so please feel free to bring the family.
Well-behaved dogs on a short lead are also welcome at the weekend. We do ask you to bring “poo bags” with you to tidy up after any incident.
Friends membership is £10.00 per annum. If you enjoy your visit, you can join the Friends of Priestfield Arboretum on the day, recovering your individual entrance and guidebook costs against the purchase of a £10.00 annual subscription. Friends membership entitles you to visit the arboretum at any reasonable time, to receive the guidebook, and a quarterly newsletter. Just ask at the reception gazebo. If you decide to join the Friends later, there is an online application here.

(Access to the arboretum is by kind permission of the owners.)
The site is on a slight slope, with no made paths, so sturdy footwear is advised. Unfortunately, the site is not suitable for wheelchairs and there are no toilet or refreshment facilities.
How to find the arboretum
A path leading to the entrance to Priestfield Arboretum starts from a gateway located in Stony Lane, Little Kingshill. Enter postcode HP16 0DS or OS grid reference SU 900 992 into your sat nav, or use What3Words (animates.playing.scuba).
There is no parking on site, so please use Windsor Lane (rather than Stony Lane) if you can and walk the short distance to the arboretum. We hope you enjoy your visit. We hold two open events each year (in May and October), showcasing the arboretum in its spring and autumn glory and we would love to see you again!
